So far, we found very little information about Amoskeag. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Amoskeag to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Amoskeag , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hillsborough County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Amoskeag, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1851.

Time Zone: The area where Amoskeag was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Amoskeag still existed, it would have been in the (603) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Amoskeag was in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).

We also found Amoskeag in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
