While we don't have the exact location of Fort Niobrara , we believe that it would have been located within present day Cherry County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Fort Niobrara, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880. If Fort Niobrara still existed, it would have been in the (402) and (531)<3> area codes.
