At the time of the 2010 Census, Souris had a population of 58 people. This makes Souris the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 58 people, the population of Souris decreased 30.12% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 83 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Souris was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Souris post office opened in 1901.
