While we don't have a date for the founding of Tracy, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1882.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Tracy had an population of 338 people. This is an increase of 62.5% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 58.69% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Tracy had a population of 208 people. This makes Tracy the county's 15th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 208 people, the population of Tracy decreased 2.35% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 213 people).

We originally found mention of Tracy in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tracy was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Tracy post office opened in 1882.

We also found Tracy in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
