Welcome to Dripping Spring ...

So far, we found very little information about Dripping Spring. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Dripping Spring , we believe that it would have been located within present day Boone County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Dripping Spring, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1873.

We originally found mention of Dripping Spring in the FIPS-55 file. For more information, see the Referenced FIPS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dripping Spring was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Dripping Spring post office opened in 1873.

We also found Dripping Spring in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
