While we don't have a date for the founding of Blosser, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1891.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Blosser is 650 feet [198 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: The area where Blosser was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Blosser would have been located in the (660) area code.

Adding Blosser to Our Gazetteer ...

We originally found mention of Blosser in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Blosser was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Blosser post office opened in 1891.

We also found Blosser in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
