Welcome to Base Line (aka 'Baseline') ...

So far, we found very little information about Base Line. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Base Line to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Base Line - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Base Line, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Base Line <3>, we believe that it would have been located within present day Macomb County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Base Line, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1927.

Time Zone: The area where Base Line was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

The community of Base Line has also been called Baseline.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Base Line, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of Michigan's counties, including Macomb, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
