From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for New Boston was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the New Boston post office opened in 1825.

We also found New Boston in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
