From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Donner was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Donner post office opened in 1901.
We also found Donner mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (August 1903).
