Welcome to McKinley ...

So far, we found very little information about McKinley. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added McKinley to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of McKinley - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with McKinley, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of McKinley , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washington County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of McKinley, you might consider that their post office opened in 1892.

If McKinley still existed, it would have been in the (785) area code.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned McKinley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the McKinley post office opened in 1892.
