Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Flora had an population of 2,000 people. This is a decrease of 1.77% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 10.19% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Flora had a population of 2,036 people (or 10.1% of the total population of Carroll County). This makes Flora the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Flora represents 0.03% of the population of Indiana (which has 6,483,802 people), making it the state's 204th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,036 people, the population of Flora decreased 8.58% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,227 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Flora was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Flora post office opened in 1873.
