While we don't have a date for the founding of Mounds, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1903.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Mounds has a population of 681 people<3> (see below for details).

Population Details ...

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Mounds had an population of 681 people. This is a decrease of 15.93% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 39.03% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Mounds had a population of 810 people (or 13.15% of the total population of Pulaski County). This makes Mounds the county's most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 810 people, the population of Mounds decreased 27.48% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,117 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mounds was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
