Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Franklin had an population of 133 people. This is a decrease of 6.99% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 2.21% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Franklin had a population of 143 people. This makes Franklin the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 143 people, the population of Franklin increased 5.15% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 136 people).

We originally found mention of Franklin in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Franklin was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Franklin post office opened in 1883.

We also found Franklin in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
