Welcome to Plowshare ...So far, we found very little information about Plowshare. The location of Plowshare has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Plowshare, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880. While the community is gone, the present day location for Plowshare is 1,070 feet [326 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Plowshare was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Plowshare (for example, toward Heflin (AL)), you will soon leave Eastern Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
