From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Parkwood was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Parkwood post office opened in 1906.

We also found Parkwood on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Georgia (1911).
