From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Denton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Denton post office opened in 1906.

We also found Denton on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Georgia (1911).
