Welcome to Roberts ...

So far, we found very little information about Roberts. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Roberts to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Roberts - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Roberts, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Roberts <3>, we believe that it would have been located within present day Shasta County<2>.

Roberts was established in 1885.

The origin (or the toponymy) of Roberts: Named after B.F. Roberts.

Time Zone: The area where Roberts was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Roberts still existed, it would have been in the (530) area code.

Communities Also Named Roberts ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 39 communities that are also named Roberts - they are located in Alabama, Arkansas (2), Colorado, Florida (2), Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas (2), Maine, Maryland (2), Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio (3), Ontario, Oregon (3), Pennsylvania (2), South Carolina, Tennessee (2), Texas, West Virginia (2) and Wisconsin.

Adding Roberts to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Roberts was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Roberts post office opened in 1885.

We also found Roberts in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
