From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Port San Luis was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Port San Luis post office opened in 1907.

We also found Port San Luis mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (July 1929).
