So far, we found very little information about Liberty. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Liberty to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Liberty , we believe that it would have been located within present day San Joaquin County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Liberty, you might consider that their post office opened in 1860.
Time Zone: The area where Liberty was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time
If Liberty still existed, it would have been in the (209) area code.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Liberty was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Liberty post office opened in 1860.
We also found Liberty in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
