Blanco County was founded February 12, 1858. Blanco was created by taking area from Burnet, and Gillespie Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Blanco had a population of 11,971 people. This is an increase of 14.04% since the last Census (which gave a population of 10,497 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Blanco represented 0.04% of the total population of Texas.
