Clermont County was founded December 6, 1800 and was created by taking area from Hamilton County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Clermont had a population of 206,428 people. This is an increase of 4.47% since the last Census (which gave a population of 197,604 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Clermont represented 1.71% of the total population of Ohio.
