Vance County was founded in 1881. Vance was created by taking area from Franklin, Granville and Warren Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Vance had a population of 44,670 people. This is a decrease of 1.66% since the last Census (which gave a population of 45,422 people in 2010).
