Letang is located on the east coast of New Brunswick (on the Bay of Fundy).
Time Zone: Letang lies in the Atlantic Time Zone (AST/ADT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: AST- Heure Normale de l'Atlantique (HNA), ADT- Heure Avancée de l'Atlantique (HAA).
Note: If you travel west from Letang (for example, toward Robbinston (ME)), you will soon leave Atlantic Time and cross into the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT).

When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code. In this case, the 506 code has been Overlayed with the 428 area code. New phone numbers in the Letang area will be assigned with one of these codes: 506 or 428. As a result, placing a call in the Letang area will require 10-digit dialing (where you enter both the area code and then the phone number).
