Laclede County was founded in 1849. Laclede was created by taking area from Camden, Pulaski and Wright Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Laclede had a population of 35,869 people. This is an increase of 0.84% since the last Census (which gave a population of 35,571 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Laclede represented 0.59% of the total population of Missouri.
