The community of Bonners Ferry is the Seat for Boundary County.

Boundary County was founded in 1915 and was created by taking area from BonnerCounty.

From the Census Estimates for 2009, <1> Boundary had a population of 10,951 people. This is an increase of 10.94% since the last Census (which gave a population of 9,871 people in 2000).

At the time of the 2000 Census, Boundary represented 0.76% of the total population of Idaho, making it the state's 27th most populous county (out of 44 counties).
