Page County was founded February 24, 1847 and was created by taking area from Pottawattamie County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Page had a population of 15,107 people. This is a decrease of 5.11% since the last Census (which gave a population of 15,921 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Page represented 0.52% of the total population of Iowa.
