Coffee County was founded in 1854. Coffee was created by taking area from Clinch, Irwin, Telfair and Ware Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Coffee had a population of 43,273 people. This is an increase of 1.28% since the last Census (which gave a population of 42,728 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Coffee represented 0.44% of the total population of Georgia.
