From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Saddlestring was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Saddlestring post office opened in 1937.

We also found Saddlestring on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Wyoming (1956).
