Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hudson had an population of 14,095 people. This is an increase of 10.82% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 60.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hudson had a population of 12,719 people (or 15.08% of the total population of Saint Croix County). This makes Hudson the county's most populous community.

The population of Hudson represents 0.22% of the population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 66th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 12,719 people, the population of Hudson increased 44.95% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 8,775 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hudson was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Hudson post office opened in 1852.

We also found Hudson in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
