At the time of the 2010 Census, Cecil had a population of 570 people. This makes Cecil the county's 27th most populous community.

The population of Cecil represents 0.01% of the population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 1366th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 570 people, the population of Cecil increased 22.32% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 466 people).

We originally found mention of Cecil in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Cecil was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Cecil post office opened in 1884.

We also found Cecil in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
