So far, we found very little information about Pine Springs. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Pine Springs was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas).

Pine Springs would have been located within present day Culberson County<2>.



While we don't have a date for the founding of Pine Springs, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1942.

A typical abbreviation for Pine Springs: Pine Spgs. (or less commonly used: Pine Spngs. or Pine Sprngs.)

While the community is gone, the present day location for Pine Springs is 5,630 feet [1,716 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Pine Springs is about 1 mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Pine Springs was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pine Springs was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Pine Springs post office opened in 1942.
