Welcome to Mangum ...So far, we found very little information about Mangum. If you can help us with Mangum, please Contact Us. Mangum was located in the Texas Panhandle. Mangum would have been located within present day Eastland County<2>. The location of Mangum has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Mangum, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899. While the community is gone, the present day location for Mangum is 1,480 feet [451 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Mangum was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Mangum still existed, it would have been in the (254) area code.
