Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Jellico had an population of 2,154 people. This is a decrease of 8.54% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 12.01% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Jellico had a population of 2,355 people (which is 5.78% of the total population of Campbell County). This makes Jellico the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Jellico represents 0.04% of the total population of Tennessee (which has 6,346,105 people), making it the state's 152nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,355 people, the population of Jellico decreased 3.8% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,448 people).

We originally found mention of Jellico in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Jellico was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Jellico post office opened in 1883.
