From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Siskiyou was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>
From that list, the Siskiyou post office opened in 1895.
We also found Siskiyou mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (August 1903).
