At the time of the 2010 Census, Skiatook had a population of 7,397 people (or 15.58% of the total population of Osage County). This makes Skiatook the county's 4th most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Skiatook was on a map titled Map of Oklahoma (from Rand McNally, 1911).
