At the time of the 2010 Census, Carnegie had a population of 1,723 people (or 5.82% of the total population of Caddo County). This makes Carnegie the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,723 people, the population of Carnegie increased 5.25% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,637 people).

We originally found mention of Carnegie in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Carnegie was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Carnegie post office opened in 1901.

We also found Carnegie on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Oklahoma (1911).
