Welcome to Whitmore ...
So far, we found very little information about Whitmore. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Whitmore to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Whitmore - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Whitmore, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Whitmore , we believe that it would have been located within present day Wood County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Whitmore, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1901.
Time Zone: The area where Whitmore was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time
Communities Also Named Whitmore ...
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Ohio communities named Whitmore: This one is located in Wood County and the other is located in Sandusky County.
Beyond Ohio, there are 4 communities that are also named Whitmore - they are located in Arkansas, California and Hawaii.
