Welcome to Kokosing ...

So far, we found very little information about Kokosing. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Kokosing to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Kokosing - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Kokosing, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Kokosing , we believe that it would have been located within present day Union County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Kokosing, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

Time Zone: The area where Kokosing was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Kokosing was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Kokosing post office opened in 1880.
