Elm would have been located within present day Tuscarawas County<2>.

The location of Elm has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Elm, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1892.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Elm is 880 feet [268 m] above sea level.<4>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Elm was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Elm post office opened in 1892.
