While we don't have a date for the founding of Eldorado, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1854.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Eldorado has a population of 490 people<4> (see below for details).

Eldorado is 1,140 feet [347 m] above sea level.<5>.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Eldorado had an population of 490 people. This is a decrease of 3.73% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 9.76% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Eldorado had a population of 509 people. This makes Eldorado the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 509 people, the population of Eldorado decreased 6.26% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 543 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Eldorado was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Eldorado post office opened in 1854.

We also found Eldorado in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
