Welcome to Aix ...

So far, we found very little information about Aix. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Aix to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Aix - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Aix, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Aix , we believe that it would have been located within present day Guernsey County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Aix, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899.

Time Zone: The area where Aix was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Communities Also Named Aix ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 3 communities that are also named Aix - they are located in Indiana, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Aix was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Aix post office opened in 1899.
