At the time of the 2010 Census, Stillwater had a population of 1,738 people. This makes Stillwater the county's 24th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,738 people, the population of Stillwater increased 5.72% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,644 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Stillwater was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Stillwater post office opened in 1797.

We also found Stillwater in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (1803).
