At the time of the 2010 Census, Castorland had a population of 351 people. This makes Castorland the county's 21st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 351 people, the population of Castorland increased 14.71% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 306 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Castorland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Castorland post office opened in 1871.

We also found Castorland in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
