Welcome to Geddes ...

So far, we found very little information about Geddes. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Geddes to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Geddes - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Geddes, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Geddes , we believe that it would have been located within present day Eureka County<2>.

Geddes was founded in 1882.

Time Zone: The area where Geddes was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Geddes was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Geddes post office opened in 1882.
