With a 2010 count of 1,337 people, the population of Milan has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,331 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Milan was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Milan post office opened in 1833.

We also found Milan in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
