The location of Williams has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Williams, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901. While the community is gone, the present day location for Williams is 1,420 feet [433 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Williams was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Williams would have been located in the (402) & (531)<5> area codes.
