Welcome to Violet ...So far, we found very little information about Violet. The location of Violet has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Violet, you might consider that their post office opened in 1883. While the community is gone, the present day location for Violet is 1,240 feet [378 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Violet was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Violet still existed, it would have been in the (402) and (531)<5> area codes.
