Welcome to Venus ...So far, we found very little information about Venus. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Venus to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We aren't confident of the location of Venus, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Venus, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880. While the community is gone, the present day location for Venus is 1,860 feet [567 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Venus was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Venus still existed, it would have been in the (402) & (531)<5> area codes. Communities Also Named Venus ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Nebraska communities named Venus: This one is located in Knox County and the other is located in Antelope County.
