So far, we found very little information about Sheridan. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Sheridan , we believe that it would have been located within present day Wheeler County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Sheridan, you might consider that their post office opened in 1885.

If Sheridan still existed, it would have been in the (308) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sheridan was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Sheridan post office opened in 1885.
