This is a decrease of 4.41% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 11.97% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Plainview had a population of 1,246 people (which is 17.15% of the total population of Pierce County). This makes Plainview the county's 2nd most populous community. The population of Plainview represents 0.07% of the population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 84th most populous community. With a 2010 count of 1,246 people, the population of Plainview decreased 7.91% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,353 people).
